Devlog 5: A HUGE MILESTONE!
Hello! We are Curantoalhoyo and we want to present the advances related to the development of our game: OCRE.
Over the past few weeks we have focused our efforts on fully implementing our innovative mechanics. For this we have implemented a new enemy selection menu that allows to preserve both the character's progress and the enemies that have not yet been defeated. Previously, when selecting a new enemy, the map would reset causing the last enemies to disappear. This allows the game to have a continuity that was not present before.
Along with this, we have included an attack on the character. This consists of a fireball that rotates around the character describing a circular path. Currently this fireball deals damage to enemies until they die and disappear. This power can evolve depending on the experience the character obtains, where each power has its own experience that is associated with a type of monster.
The experience mechanics that the character has were also included. This consists of tokens that will appear in an enemy's position when it is eliminated. In order to access this experience the character must interact with these objects.
The functioning of the character's life bar has also been improved. When the character takes damage, the life bar now reflects the current health. This allows you to include an end-of-game condition corresponding to losing all of your life, which means losing the game.
